About Us

Viscount Central School provides a safe and caring learning environment for all. Built in 1991, the VCS facility is beautiful and modern. The school was designed as a model for integrating technology into the learning process. VCS enrolls approximately 110 students from Kindergarten through Grade 12.

We employ a wonderful, caring and positive staff! Students at VCS regularly benefit from the services of a Speech and Language Pathologist, Educational Psychologist, Career Counselor and an itinerant Student Counselor. Our Learning Resource Teacher spends time with students in the classroom and one-on-one.

The VCS community includes students, parents, and community members from the area surrounding Viscount, as well as, the communities of Meacham, Young and Plunkett.

Why Choose Us?

  • We Have High Standards

Teachers at VCS inspire students to do their best. We clearly communicate our high standards and provide students with intellectual challenge. Teachers at VCS devote their time to extra-curricular activities and community initiatives.
  • We Make Parents Feel Welcome

Parents feel welcome when they visit the school. They find it easy to talk to their child’s teachers and parents are well informed about school activities via email, day planners, web site and Facebook page.
  • We Celebrate Diversity

Teachers at VCS take account of student’s needs, abilities, and interests. Everyone at VCS takes an active role in making sure all students are included in school activities.
